At the end of each month, I love to take some time to reflect on the past month. What were the most memorable moments I had? What made them so special? This post is all about June’s most memorable moments, what kept me smiling, and brought me so much joy.
Most Memorable Moments
- Jay and I celebrated our one year anniversary since we started dating (/ since I manifested him)!
- I received my diploma for grad school. It’s been a journey and I am truly so proud to finally have my master’s completed.
- Outdoor dining is back in Berlin!
June Favorites
Outdoor dining! (finally)
This tops the list of most memorable moments of Summer 2021.

June was off to a great start because Germany’s outdoor dining restrictions were eased for the first time since November 2020! It has definitely been a minute. I am so grateful to be able to enjoy a meal outdoors, enjoy the beautiful weather and sunshine, and spend some time with Jay and my girlfriends somewhere outside of our four walls.
Shiso Burger
Ah, Shiso Burger. Since the first time we tried Shiso Burger a few months ago, my life has changed. That sounds like an over the top exaggeration, but it really has!
Berlin is already known for its buzzing burger scene, but Shiso takes it a step further. This burger x asian fusion joint does everything right. The food is always extremely fresh, packed with so many delicious flavors, and makes you keep wanting to come back for more.
If I go four to five days without it, my body starts to sound an internal alarm and I start to get insane cravings for this burger. I don’t think I have ever craved anything in my life as much as I crave the Ebi Burger here.

The Ebi Burger at Shiso has a crispy fried shrimp patty with lettuce, tomato, onions, ginger honey mustard sauce, and spicy mayo – all in a pillowy asian bun. If you like seafood, then you MUST try it for yourself. If you prefer meat or veggie, they have so many other burger options! Jay always goes for the cheeseburger here and loves it as well.
Jay and I have been ordering delivery from Shiso the past few months, but finally being able to eat there this month has made it even more special because they have the quickest and friendliest service. Also, all of their food is served in dumpling baskets, which is such a creative touch.
Cuore di Vetro
It only took me four summers in Berlin to try Cuore di Vetro and boy do I regret not trying it sooner. This lovely shop is named after Werner Herzog’s film “Heart of Glass”. They import their ingredients from Italy and you can definitely taste the difference. The chocolate and bacio gelato are my favorite, but all of their other flavors do not disappoint.

The ice cream, gelato, and sorbet served up by the kind souls here are always top notch, extremely fresh, and constantly rotating depending on the season. They are also one of the only ice cream shops in Berlin that remain open in the fall/ winter… only on the weekends though!

Lululemon Power Pivot Tank Top
I’ve been wearing this lululemon tank almost every day! I recently purchased three of these & I’ve been rotating them non-stop. This cropped tank is so insanely flattering, comfy, and I really do feel so beautiful in my skin when I’m wearing it.
A major bonus of this top is that you can wear it two ways. On one side you have a deep v neck that you could wear a sports bra underneath/ go without the additional bra and have a more cleavagey look. The other side has more coverage, and I personally tend to wear the round neck side more.
I wear the Power Pivot tank with high-waisted denim shorts for a casual dinner, on a run/ spin class, and with a cardigan for work meetings. It is so versatile and will be a staple in my closet for years to come!
LEUCHTTURM1917 Some Lines A Day (5 year journal)
I’ve had this LEUCHTTURM1917 journal since January 2020 and it is one of the most meaningful and precious “things” in my life. As the title suggests, you write some lines a day for 5 years – all in the same journal. I have multiple journals that I use on a daily/ weekly basis, but this one is by far the most special.
Now, a year and a half later, every time I add some thoughts to this journal, I can read where I was on this exact day a year ago. It is so humbling and a great way to see your growth and how far you’ve come. I am excited to look back on it 3 years from now when I have the years 2020 -2024 filled out.
What were your most memorable moments for you this month?
I hope that you had a very sunny & beautiful June. I’m really looking forward to sharing my July monthly favorites with you next month!
Love,
Stacey
